Dale brings more than 30 years of communications strategy and business analysis expertise to Platinum. He applies the best in communications and leadership practices across and outside of an organization based upon his blended experience as a former corporate communications executive, business owner, award-winning financial journalist, public speaker and on-air financial commentator. He understands strategic communications given his own experiences as a leader, analysis of 2,500+ companies, interviews with more than 250 CEOs, and ongoing study of business challenges and opportunities.

He is uniquely positioned to help businesses with building and maintaining their brands during growth. This includes identifying and developing strong messaging for all key audiences. For family businesses, he also can advise succession-related messaging. Dale’s extensive media expertise can guide a company’s storytelling to target audiences — and working with the right media and influencers to share it with shareholders, customers and employees. He also knows how to navigate business crisis situations with the unusual edge of understanding both the dynamics behind the scenes, and the perspective of those fueling the crisis—something he did early in his career as an investigative journalist.

Dale enjoys spending time with his family canoeing and fishing in the Boundary Waters, boating on Lake Minnetonka, downhill skiing and hiking. He also enjoys serving as a city council member in Excelsior, MN; advisor on the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce’s 2030 Economic Advisory Committee; regent for St. Mary’s University of Minnesota’s Schools of Graduate and Professional Programs; and advisory board member for ThreeSixty Journalism.
